Meet Hallie, she was a TV reporter in China and now she is living the dream life blogging and traveling around the world.

Hallie was very kind and agreed to answer some questions for us.

Tell us few words about yourself and about your style.

My name is Hallie, before moving to Los Angeles 4 years ago from China, I traveled a lot around the world for work.  Now I am just sitting here enjoying California’s sunshine with my little son everyday.

Because of my life experience, I would describe my style as Eastern mixed with Western, vintage meets trendy, and different styles to match my different moods.

 

Who is your favorite style icon?

There are so many! Since I have been very well traveled around the world, and have seen so many other countries and cultures, I am so in love with many different styles. So a person I see walking on the street with amazing style could be my favorite style icon at that moment.

 

Who is your favorite designer and why?

I have so many designers that I love, brands from Chanel to Chloe, Prada to Miu Miu, Proenza Schouler to Alexander Wang, I can’t tell which is my favorite one, ’cause every designer is unique with amazing ideas and design. And I just love them all!

 

Designer clothes are very expensive, how can we find an alternative ?

 

I think everybody knows that brands like Zara, H&M, ASOS always have some styles similar to the famous designers, and for a lot less money.  And, of course, it’s always like a treasure hunt to visit vintage clothing stores, where, if you look carefully and patiently, sometimes you can find incredible bargains on designer clothes.

 

How do you keep up-to-date with fashion?

Daily book and magazine reading and internet surfing, window shopping at the malls and boutiques, and television.

 

What fashion trends interest you the most?

New ways in color blocking and print mixing.

 

What is the thing without which you can not go out ?

A pair of sunglasses!
